Walker Cook
Executive Assistant

Walker Cook is the Executive Assistant present at HeartWerq’s Dupont Circle Office. He is in charge of administrative duties in addition to leading our online presence. Walker is a political scientist with a particular interest in political psychology. His experiences focus on building political power for LGBTQ+ people and other underprivileged communities through progressive organizing. Before joining HeartWerq, Walker worked as a Legislative Intern in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Coming from the “Don’t Say Gay” State of Florida, Walker has witnessed and experienced first-hand the mental health impacts of antagonistic politics, particularly on LGBTQ+ teens and young adults. Walker believes in the healing properties of kindness and community engagement as both psychological and political virtues.
His work is deeply rooted in a love for humanity and appreciation for the transformative power of empathy to create space for everyone in mental health and in politics. Walker prides himself on ensuring that HeartWerq is a welcoming space for all people to become their best selves and engage in an empowering, sex-positive community.
