Artemis is a veterinary technician and graduate student working toward completing their MSW in Spring 2027. Prior to interning with HeartWerq, Artemis has worked in medical research, companion animal care, and zoological public programs. Most recently, Artemis completed a social work internship where they facilitated afterschool programming for middle school students and supported an individual navigating a transition into memory care.
Artemis has strong interests in somatic therapy, patient psychoeducation and self-advocacy, creative and artistic therapeutic interventions, and holistic, trauma-informed social work practice. Outside of their professional and academic work, Artemis enjoys photography, painting, hiking, gardening, music, rock climbing, cooking, and spending time with their pets.
